Censor Board Bans the release of film Raees in Pakistan

Pakistan Censor Board has rejected to permit the release of film
“Raees” in Pakistan after declared it as ‘inappropriate’. The members of sensor board decided after reviewing the film that real face of Islam is not shown in film “Raees” and wrong perception is presented about Muslims in the film.
The sources said that censor board wrote a letter to information ministry after reviewing the film after which the ministry declared the film “Raees” inappropriate.

On the other hand, the distribution department of Pakistan film has admitted that the Central Censor Board has rejected to issue censor certificate to film.

It should be cleared that Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan played roles in Indian film “Raees” while the film received certificates from censor boards of Sindh and Punjab but censor certificate was not issued by central censor board.
