Coke Studio 9 Episode 3 About Abida Parveen & Ahmed Jehanzeb
In the beginning, the Coke Studio 9 seems lot monotonous but the situation changed after the release of 3rd episode.
Khaki Banda
Shuja Haider was not comfortable with Aaqa but he made his arrival with Khaki Banda. Abida Parveen and Ali Sethi collaborated for his previous release but it could not get much fame like few of his previous songs.
The recent release of ‘Khaki Banda’ is a real lesson for others and it can be regarded as one of the best songs of the whole show as it was sung by the recent top singers Umair Jaswal and Ahmed Jehanzeb. If we can say that ‘Garaj Baras’ is the primary song for Coke Studio then it is clear that we are still in the right path through ‘Khaki Banda’. It is clear that performance from the whole team is important to achieve success.
After ‘Kaho Ek Din’, Jehanzeb was not seen much but he made come back with this powerful performance for a superb song that is capable to change the emotions of the listeners in no time due to the high notes by singer.
On the other hand, Jaswal made this song refined a lot by using his superb vocals. The efforts were also added by Nimra Rafiq and Shahab Hussain to make this song capable for the level of a great song. Extra charm was added by beautiful play of Mannu.
Maula-e-Kull
Abida Parveen performed one of her best song for a long time in ‘Coke Studio’ with song ‘Maula-e-Kull’ which is like rain in the desert.
In this year’s show, the presence of famous lyricist Sabir Zafar is a huge plus which makes the lyrical content simple but of high quality. Parveen presented the song of Bu Al Qalandar and it fels so sweeton ears. The best performance was made by Shani Arshad.
It was just the second release of Arshad and he performed superbly here. Parveen has proved with ‘Maula e Kull’ that she is still one of the best singers of this genera and it is difficult to replace her.
