NAPA Theatre and Music Festival Start from 13 January
Karachi, National Academy of Performing Art is going to start the tenth day young director theatre and music festival from 13 January. The students will present the theater, who have completed their graduation during last four years in NAPA. The program director and administrator made this announcement in the press conference and said that theater drama, acting and music performances will be presented in this festival, which is the effort to develop the young talent and the performing art. He also said that it is necessary to perform theater daily and if you do not perform it for few days, then it dies out. The consistent effort helps to make it strong and through this festival, they are giving platforms to Rahat Kazmi and Talat Hussain of the future and they are also giving the chance to the young directors to show their performances.
The director of festival said this festival is the step of the first festival 2012, in which two plays were being presented and 12 new dramas are being presented this year. These young men are doing the direction for the first time and now they are also going to start the underworld theater and the play will be presented there at 6 pm in the evening. He further added that they will manage the two days music festival along with the stage dramas and the students of NAPA and musicians of other families will also perform in this music festival. In the music festival, the classical and modern music will be presented.
The administrator of NAPA Repertory Theater said that NAPA has been promoting the new talent in the performing art since its beginning and it will continue its promotion. The directors, who have presented their plays in the festival, are Wajdan Shah, Syeda Maha Ali, Masood ur Rehman, Kaleem Ghouri, Obaid Iqbal, Shumaila Taj, Maqbool, Zarqa Naz, Aqeel Ahmed, Taha Khan, Faraz Chotani and Zaki Ullah Khan. This festival is started from 13 January and it will be continued till 22 January.
