Pakistan Film Festival to held in New York from 3rd of Decem

Asia Society will organize the first 2 day
Pakistan Film Festival in USA from 3rd December 2016 . “Dobara Phir Se” and “Lahore Se Agay” are the two new films presented in this festival while the other films shown during the festival will be Oscar winner animated movie “3 Bahadur”, “Dukhtar”, “Dance Kahani”, Oscar nominated film “Mah e Mir”, “Ho Mann Jahaan” and “Actor in Law”.

The participants in this festival include Asim Raza, Anjum Shahzad, Mawra Hocane, Nabeel Qureshi, Fariha Altaf, Sanam Saeed, Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munawar, Fahad Mustafa, his wife Sana Fahad,Saba Qamar, Wajahat Rauf, Faisal Farooqui, Tooba Siddiqui and Yasir Hussain. Fariha ALtaf said that it’s important to encourage Pakistani films as they are moving forward. Other producers and directors are getting strength from Oscar award of Sharmeen Obaid. Saba Qamar had the view that Pakistani films can get recognition in Pakistan and other parts of world by good performance. Only good films can promote Pakistani films in the world.

Wajahat Rauf said that presenting films in Pakistan film festival will provide the chance to filmmakers to improve Pakistani image in the world.
Yasir Hussain thinks that importance of Pakistani films will increase after this festival. Anjum Shahzad had the opinion that films like “Moor” and “Manto” should be part of this film festival.
Nabeel Qureshi told that Pakistani government is taking step to promote Pakistan film industry for the first time. Films require many events like this one to get promotion in USA and other parts of the world.
