PEMRA noticed to BOL TV
Nowadays, PEMRA is taking its orders very seriously. Currently, the administration of BOL TV failed to comply with the orders of PEMRA after which the authority immediately issues show cause notice to the channel.
Two days ago, PEMRA banned Amir Liaquat and his show “Aesay Nahi Chalay Ga” on BOL TV due to several misconducts. Apart from that, Amir Liaquat was banned to appear in any program of BOL TV in any way.
The reason to ban Amir Liaquat and BOL TV is due to hate speech and allegations against several people including Jibran Nasir, a social activist and lawyer. The host also threatened Jibran Nasir.
On the same day PEMRA banned Amir Liaquat, the host appeared on BOL TV while he hosted his show on Thursday night and again stated harsh remarks against PEMRA. Due to this reason, several cable operators across Pakistan stop airing the channel.
After this incident, PEMRA issued the notice to BOL TV about not abiding by the orders of the authority. PEMRA has given the time of 7 days to the channel to clear its position. Otherwise, action will be taken according to PEMRA rules.
