Chairman PEMRA Absar Alam said that transmission of crime drama programs will not be allowed from 1st of Ramzan while channels not acting on PEMRA orders will be closed.
Chairman PEMRA said while press conference in Islamabad that picture and name of the raped person will not be shown. There is no restriction on research journalism but guidelines about them will be issued.
He said crime shows have gone so much forward that they have to restrict them from 1st of Ramzan. Hopefully channels will care for sacred month of Ramzan instead of their rating. Absar Alam told that suicide acts will also not be shown while pictures and interviews of effected persons will also not be allowed.
Chairman PEMRA told that their own DTH system will soon come and many problems will be solved after arrival of this system. He said that dance and exercise should not be shown in Ramzan programs.
